The Correspondent PEN/Hemingway Award & Movie Announcement

By Sara Eslami | March 20 2026 | Adult

Virginia Evans has won the 2026 PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Novel. She will be accepting the award on 4/26 in Boston, ahead of her sold-out event with Hummingbird Books that evening.

Additionally, earlier this week, Deadline announced that Lionsgate won a seven-studio bidding war for film rights to The Correspondent. The adaptation has Jane Fonda attached to star, with Todd Lieberman producing, and Virginia Evans as an executive producer alongside Cat Vasko.  We saw a nice bump in POS after the announcement, so fans are definitely paying attention.
